Manchester United should ditch Radamel Falcao for Alexandre Lacazette or Paulo Dybala move

Man United should ditch Falcao for Lacazette or Dybala

One of the take home points from Wednesday evening’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle United was just how Radamel Falcao, one of the more heralded strikers in world football, was left on the bench with Manchester United in desperate search for a winning goal to keep Champions League hopes alive.
How times change – less than two years ago Falcao was Atletico Madrid’s leading goalscorer with 32 goals and all signs pointed towards a major move to one of Europe’s giants.
But since then Falcao’s career has endured a string of false starts and disappointments.
Be it due to the fact the current Man United side are not geared to play to Falcao’s strengths or perhaps Falcao’s recovery from his ACL injury hasn’t been anywhere near as successful as necessary, the current campaign has simply not gone the Colombian’s way with Falcao netting four goals in all competitions, just one more than central defender Chris Smalling.
It has been difficult to watch a once great champion of centre-forward play struggling in such a manner. Falcao’s days at both Porto and Atletico Madrid and to a lesser degree at Monaco are remembered for his blistering record in front of goal.
Almost anything Falcao would hit in and around the penalty area would end up resulting in a goal. However it was not just his goalscoring, his sheer physical presence would allow him to bully many defenders, something which would have seen him excel in England prior to his injury.
Falcao’s struggles this year have not been through a lack of trying nor all his own fault. There are obvious worries about the Colombian’s willingness to use his body as he has done in years gone by, however such apprehension is understandable following such a severe and easily repeated knee injury.
Louis van Gaal’s tactical choices have not helped him either. Playing in a pair with Robin van Persie has been difficult with the two players often looking to play the same way. Neither player looks to run the channels and really force an opposing defence to work hard physically thus leaving everything rather congested through the middle.

The relationship between Falcao and Manchester United’s supporters has in truth been excellent with fans knowing just how good a player Falcao has been. There has been an element of determination from the crowd to help push him over the line.
At 29-years-old Falcao does not represent value for money at £43.5m and it is unlikely United will sanction a permanent deal.
With Van Gaal having already said he is targeting a world-class midfielder and that Wayne Rooney would be a centre-forward when such a signing occurs then there isn’t a need for two players as similar as Van Persie and Falcao.
There is a greater need for a striker in his early to mid 20s to work as a buffer between the experience of Rooney and the vast inexperience but raw talent of James Wilson. Names like Alexandre Lacazette and Paulo Dybala immediately spring to mind.
Falcao will probably be remembered as a gamble that was worth taking but ultimately didn’t pay off. Neither party has really lost out with Falcao likely to find a move to another top club next season and United having more than enough finance to restructure their forward line.

These things happen in football and with only 10 matches left this season it is likely that both Manchester United and Falcao are preparing to part ways.

Man United on alert as Real Madrid prepare to SELL Cristiano Ronaldo

MANCHESTER UNITED have been put on alert with reports suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo's days at Real Madrid are numbered.

Spanish newspaper Sport claim the Portugal star will be sold either this summer or next with Madrid president Florentino Perez hoping to cash in on him before his re-sell value drops.
Ronaldo joined Madrid in 2009 from Manchester United for an at the time world record fee of £80m and has a contract until 2018.
And despite turning 30 at the start of last month he's scored 30 goals in 22 Liga appearances so far this season and has won back-to-back Ballon d'Or awards.
However, according to the reports, Perez believes he is already passed his best and remains concerned about the damage his chronic knee injury will do long-term.
Ronaldo also came in for criticism following his birthday celebrations after the defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Perez has also earmarked Gareth Bale as his long-term successor and wants the Wales winger to take centre stage eventually.
Ronaldo has constantly flirted with a return to Manchester and David Moyes was keen on bringing him back to Old Trafford when he was in charge.
Louis van Gaal admitted earlier this season the club was capable of breaking the club's transfer record, having spent £59m on Angel Di Maria last year, but that was in relation to reports of Bale coming back to the Premier League.
United however have maintained a good relationship with Ronaldo and the player has made a point of being respectful towards fans whenever playing against them.
Last month, his agent Jorge Mendes admitted Ronaldo "loves Manchester United fans" but said he would not be leaving Madrid.
"He loves the Man United supporters, he told me because he was there for six years," Mendes told the BBC.

"But now he is at Real Madrid, he will not leave Real Madrid.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player ever in the world and the best sportsman ever.
"So you can't compare Cristiano Ronaldo with anyone else. It's impossible to find someone like him."
Mendes also recently insisted Ronaldo is keen to continue playing late into his thirties, however if Madrid are keen to cash in on him he may have to seriously look at the option of making a Premier League return.

Manchester United steal march on Liverpool for transfer of Roma’s Radja Nainggolan

Manchester United have pulled ahead of arch-rivals Liverpool in the race to sign Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
The former Cagliari man has netted three times this season for Roma, who sit second in Serie A, and was thought to be on his way to Anfield.
But Premier League giants United are believed to be preparing a bid of £29million for the Belgium international but face stiff competition from Manchester City, according to reports from Italy.
Louis van Gaal is considering Nainggolan as a possible alternative to Kevin Strootman who is out until next season, recuperating from knee ligament damage.

PAUL POGBA AND MANCHESTER UNITED

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta insists the Serie A outfit is the ideal place for Paul Pogba to grow into one of the world's best players.

Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has hinted that the Frenchman could be keen on leaving the Old Lady in the summer, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid all said to be interested in the 21-year-old.

However Marotta has responded to Raiola by insisting the club will have the final say on Pogba's future.

Marotta, speaking to reporters, said: 'His sports rights are with Juventus only, so it is Juventus who will decide.
'However, the decision of the player is definitely critical. But, beyond this, we're speaking about a boy who is 21-years-old, he is very young, I think he can grow from game-to-game.

'Here is the natural habitat for him - for his growth and his development. We recently extended his contract and we did with the perspective of wanting to build a competitive team around him.'

their new looking in 2014

KUALA LUMPUR : The current ‘it’ group of the entertainment industry One Direction will once again visit the region for their Asian tour next year.

For those from a different generation, One Direction is The Beatles for teenage children of this age.

The young boys - Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan - have millions of followers all over the world. Their fans helped place 61 of their songs to the top of the popular music charts within three years.

One Direction is formed by music maestro, Simon Cowell after the group got third place in the reality TV show in Britain, The X Factor, in 2010.

This is the second time One Direction will be coming to Asia and Australia in the past two years.

In 2013, the group performed 25 concerts in major cities of Australia and New Zealand including seven nights in Melbourne on three differing dates during the first, the second and last week of October.

As the ticket were immediately sold out, the organisers had to add more dates to the concert due to its demand.

In their Take Me Home tour, One Direction had two performances in Tokyo which was their only stop in Asia. Therefore, this concert is highly anticipated by their fans.

But the story now is not on One Direction and their concert. The story is: why are international singers or groups not coming to Malaysia?

MH370: Missing Malaysia Airlines flight 'will be found'

Malaysia's Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai: ''We hope we can get the plane''
Malaysia's transport minister says he is confident the MH370 airliner which disappeared almost a year ago will be found in the southern Indian Ocean.
Liow Tiong Lai told the BBC that search teams would keep looking for the aircraft which had been carrying 239 passengers and crew.
The Malaysian airliner was on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing when it vanished.
Investigators are due to release a report on the search this weekend.
Australia is leading an international search team in the southern Indian Ocean, approximately 1,600km (1,000 miles) off its west coast

Malaysian police say they are still investigating whether the plane's disappearance was intentional but have not revealed any details of their findings so far, the BBC's Jennifer Pak reports.
Earlier this year, the Malaysian government declared flight MH370 to have been lost with all on board, in a move it said was necessary to start processing compensation claims for the families.
But Mr Liow promised his government would continue to back the search operation.
"We are confident we can complete the search hopefully by May this year, and we hope we can get the plane," he said.
The report due this weekend will be presented to the government before its public release, AP news agency reports.
Mr Liow was quoted by Reuters news agency as saying he had not yet seen it, and could not say whether it would be a final report or an interim statement.
Some families of those on board the plane have accused the Malaysian authorities of hiding some information but the transport minister urged them not to "believe in all the conspiracy theories".
"[They] have to believe in data, facts, in ... experts who give us the data that shows that - proves that - this plane is in the south Indian Ocean," he said. "And that is why we are focused in that area."
The family of the flight's pilot has said there is no evidence to suggest Zaharie Ahmad Shah was responsible for the aircraft's disappearance.
His sister, Sakinab Shah, issued a media statement online to deny renewed speculation that her brother had intentionally flown the plane to avoid detection.
She said no one had the right to blame her brother without any proof.

Harrison Ford broke left leg in accident, publicist confirms

It was previously believed the 71-year-old had broken an ankle in an incident involving a door at Pinewood Studios on 12 June.
"His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly," continued Ina Treciokas in a statement.
"He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."
Ford, who is reprising his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode VII, was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after the accident.
The BBC understands he was injured while filming a scene involving a door on the Millennium Falcon, Solo's beloved spaceship.
Last week a spokesman for the Lucasfilm production company said the actor had "sustained an ankle injury" and shooting would continue while he recuperated.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police confirmed officers had been called to the studio in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, just after 17:00 BST following reports of a man being injured in an incident involving a garage door.
A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service said they were called to an incident involving "a door that had fallen".
Ford is among a number of original Star Wars cast members who are working on JJ Abrams' film, set for release in December 2015. (BBC,2015)

Samsung Builds High-Tech Dream Doghouse with a Pup Spa / Samsung memperkenalkan rumah Anjing berteknologi tinggi berserta Pup Spa

One lucky dog gets to take this dream pad home.
Cats have their own apps. It’s only fair that dogs get their own high-tech luxury doghouse from the same people who brought us the Galaxy S6 and a whole host of fancy smart TVs. As part of its sponsorship for the Crufts dog show (“The World’s Largest Dog Show”) in the UK, Samsung tasked some of its brightest minds with building the ultimate doghouse.
The result is the Samsung Dream Doghouse. Brian Dowling, director of production, calls it “the dog kennel of the future.” The two-room doghouse is rounded with a see-through front wall, giving it a retro-futuristic look. A paw-and-bones design decorates the inside walls. There are lots of soft pillowy parts to nap on.
The best part of the doghouse is the selection of over-the-top accouterments that go with it. There’s a treadmill lined with fake grass and a hydrotherapy pool for rejuvenation after a taxing afternoon of frolicking at the dog park. An automatic feeder dispenses kibble at the press of a button, which might not be the best idea if Mr. Fluffypants von Poodlebits is already a little on the hefty side.
The lucky pup also gets its own Samsung Tab S mounted in the back, “chill-out” part of the crash pad. You might want to load up some suitable viewing material, like “Benji” and “Reservoir Dogs.”
According to the International Business Times, the Dream Doghouse comes with a £20,000 price tag. That’s about $30,475 or AU$39,000. But if you are hoping to buy the palatial pooch palace, you’re out of luck: Samsung UK already gave it away to a black-and-white pup through a social-media contest. Attendees at the Crufts show from March 5-8 in Birmingham, England, can view the doghouse in person before it’s transferred to its new owner.

The 3 Best Gadgets and Ideas of Mobile World Congress / Idea-Idea dan Gajet-Gajet Terbaik

The 3 Best Gadgets and Ideas of Mobile World Congress

The convention has ended, the tapas have been eaten, the Estrella has been drunken: It’s time to hand out some awards!
Mobile World Congress, the mammoth annual tech conference here in Barcelona, ended on Thursday. Our team saw thousands of gadgets, gizmos, whatsits, and doohickeys, as well as hundreds of smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, virtual reality helmets, and, yes, several weirdo inventions from the fringes
But here we’re focusing on quality. These are the 6 most important announcements of MWC this year, the products you need to know about. You might not buy any of these things, but these are the products we are predicting will have an impact –– either on the company that makes them, or on the industry they’re disrupting.
    Ready? Here’s the best:
    1. The Samsung Galaxy S6 :
In a sea of smartphones –– there were thousands, easy –– Samsung’s new Galaxy S6 rose higher than all the others. Samsung has greatly improved the design, opting for glass and metal over its traditional plastic backing; it has simplified the operating system, getting rid of the annoying pop-ups that clutter its old phones; and it unveiled Samsung Pay, an ingenious method of paying for a purchase by swiping your smartphone over a normal credit card reader. This phone appears to be the complete package; if the camera works as well as Samsung executives say, it’s a surefire winner.
We already knew that Samsung would sell the Galaxy S6 by the millions, just like they have their previous Galaxy S phones. This time around, however, it certainly looks like they’ll deserve those sales.
    2. The HTC Vive :
With Samsung, Microsoft, and Facebook all pitching their own virtual reality headsets to future-oriented gamers, how could HTC possibly make itself stand out?
By letting you stand –– and walk. The headset is the first by a major corporation (HTC, in partnership with popular game developer Valve) that lets you move around a room while you wear a helmet and have that movement translated in to the game. You see every step you take in front of you on a high-def screen inside the headset; two handheld controllers let you move your hands and then see your hands move on the screen. Our Daniel Howley was blown away, as was basically every other journalist here at the conference; a Business Insider roundup found that “everyone is losing their minds” over the Vive. For HTC, the Vive was the Headset That Crushed at MWC
    3. The LG Urbane LTE :
One of the key trends at this year’s Mobile World Congress was thebeautification of smartwatches, and no watch seemed more beautified than the LG Urbane LTE. The watch comes with its own data plan –– meaning it does not need to Bluetooth tether to a smartphone to work –– and can make calls, receive messages, and make mobile payments via NFC.
The real reason the Urbane could be an Ur-pain to other watchmakers, however, is how it looks. As Daniel Howley wrote, the Urbane is “an absolute stunner.” Now if it only shot lasers, we’d really be living in the future.

    4. Ikea’s Wireless Charging Furniture :

The idea of wireless charging has been around for years now; actual wireless charging, as seen in the wild, remains rare. That might change with IKEA, who somehow made one of the biggest announcements at a show generally reserved for tech heavyweights. The DIY furniture company announced that it would soon sell several pieces with wireless charging stations built in, allowing those with compatible devices to simply drop them on the HEMNES or LACK and get some power, no plugs required.

This could be the boost wireless charging needed to hit the mainstream. Who would have bet that boost would come from IKEA?
